UK newsletter April 2020

I hope you are all keeping safe. We were delighted that a number of branches, from across three Commonwealth regions, submitted bids to host the Society’s 2021 International Meeting. Following an assessment by the Selection Committee, which consisted of three Regional Co-ordinators and Regional Youth Co-ordinators and three Society Council and staff representatives, we are pleased to announce that the RCS Victoria branch has been selected to host the 2021 International Meeting. Submissions were assessed against a number of criteria including, but not limited to, location accessibility, accommodation availability and price, proposed programme design, appropriateness of venues and Government/diplomatic involvement.

We look forward to working closely with RCS Victoria to welcome you wall to what will definitely be another successful convening of our International Networks.

I would also like to note that, to date, we have not received any official advice that CHOGM will be postponed from its current dates in June; however, are aware that this matter is being discussed by the relevant authorities, with a view to addressing this matter as soon as possible. We will notify you as soon as we receive any official advice in this regard.

I hope you are all able to keep safe as you enjoy the upcoming Easter weekend!

Kind regards
